Another memorable 92nd reunion began under a stretch of welcome sunshine, giving us the perfect opportunity to gather out on the terrace and ease into the occasion in relaxed surroundings. The warm weather set a cheerful tone from the outset, encouraging lively conversation and plenty of laughter as everyone reconnected.
It was especially heartening this year to see Linda & Geoff and Mary & Roy well enough to join us, their presence adding to the sense of continuity and friendship that makes these reunions so meaningful. We were also delighted to welcome Geoff Corby, whose appearance was particularly special given that he has been unable to attend for several years. His return was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm by all.
As always, the evening was filled with a rich tapestry of amusing anecdotes and shared memories from our service days. Stories flowed easily, each one sparking another, and before long the hours had slipped by almost unnoticed.
The hotel once again proved to be an excellent venue. We enjoyed superb cuisine, attentive and friendly service, and the convenience of a spacious car park. All of this was set within an attractive period property that added charm and character to the occasion. It is no surprise that several attendees expressed their enthusiasm for returning again next year.
Finally, our sincere thanks and very best wishes go to Chris & Jean, whose dedication and hard work made this latest reunion such a success. Their continued efforts ensure that this cherished tradition not only endures, but thrives year after year.
